Mô tả nội dung
This dissertation presents a creative practice-based experiment in civil celebrancy with the focus on contemporary celebrancy. The dissertation constructs and reflects upon a Ceremony of Restoration to give meaning, healing, and mending for people’s lives in the wake of traumatic, chaotic, and unresolved events. This ceremony can be used by the person, or people, at its centre to give expression to such experiences and feelings and to build resilience through a secular ritual involving their stories, memories, images, personal artefacts, and music. x, provides the theoretical framework for exploring how civil celebrancy can be extended through creative practice to assist people through grief and unresolved issues.
